About me プロフィール

My name is Anthony and welcome to my Blog.

I am currently active in Circuit Sprints and Time attack at various Circuits around Japan, and generally having fun with cars :-)

While this Blog is mainly about my own activities, I will also post photos, videos, and articles about anything interesting I see or experience of Motorsports in Japan, or Japanese 'Car life' in gereral.
If you're in Japan or simply have an interest in Japanese car life, please say Hi!

Some Personal History:

I love Motorsports :-)
I literally grew up around Race tracks, my father was a multiple Champion Touring Car and Sports sedan Driver in the 1960's~1980's. The Family Business was also involved in the building and tuning of many different Racing Cars for various people over many years. I grew up with conversations about Race car building and tuning being normal, which helped me a lot when it came time for me to start building my own cars or helping others.

I myself have been actively involved in Drag Racing, Tarmac Rally, Circuit Sprints, Street Sprints, and Hill Climbs for almost 30 years. The only thing I haven't tried is Drifting, but I do enjoy watching it over here. My brothers are also very competitive in several areas of Motor Sports with my youngest brother running his own successful Workshop.
Motorsports it is the family 'disease'.

My own Race cars have ranged from a 1935 Chevrolet with a 300 hp Holden Torana XU1 engine, to a 10 second 1/4 mile street driven 1955 Chevrolet sedan. An RT 6 'Pack Charger', a Mitsubishi Scorpion, Mitsubishi Starions including a Group A Rally Car, a Lancer Evo III, and my current Evo VI TME.

Aside from my own cars, I have been, and presently am involved in the building and set up of many cars in all manner of Motorsports and Show, as well as restoration projects.

I have lived in Japan on and off since 1992 originally coming here as a Professional Kickboxer of all things, and lived in Tokyo getting involved in as much car related activity as I could mostly with Ralliart in Setagaya Tokyo, and Mazdaspeed, until 1996 when I went back to Australia. I moved back to Japan permanently in 2008.

It's hard to say what my favourite Motorsport is, I am presently just doing Track days as that is the most easily accessible for me now and i'm really enjoying it, but my real passion is probably Tarmac Rally and Hill Climb.
While I wouldn't use my present car for Tarmac Rally, if I can find some Hill Climb events here that aren't up goat tracks, I will be very keen to have a go.

I have been very fortunate to meet many well known Motorsports personalities over the years both in Australia and in Japan, I pass as much on as I can and am always willing to help anyone who asks :-)

Cheers.

Makinen Edition)。212台しか作らなかった赤い’スペシャルパケージ’。大事にしています!
エンジンはノーマル、横浜のGarage GForceチューンで 377psと49kgmがあります。

もし僕を見かけたら、気軽に声を掛けてね!

これからよろしく!

    1. Hi Hisham. Thank you for the kind words, much appreciated! I often miss my Evo III and sometimes wonder if I should have got another one of those even though I love the TME. If I can be of any help to you while you're over here let me know.
