HKS Oil Cooler
I have been slowly porting a spare exhaust manifold when I have time, now finished.
I will fit it whenever, no hurry just next time I do something Turbo or manifold related.
I took my car up to Garage GForce today to get the ALS mapping looked at, and while it was there I got them to put the HKS Oil Cooler kit I got recently. The Oil Cooler core is about double the size of the standard one!
On.
I still have some things to do with the ducting for the new Oil Cooler and want to clean it up a little so the bumper will be on and off a few times yet hence the brake ducts not put back on yet.
But the new Oil Cooler has increased the Oil Capacity but about 500mls, and I was surprised how much cooler it ran on the way home. The only thing I don't like is the fact that the hoses mount on the outside which puts it a lot closer to the bumper. Oh well, there is always a compromise.
I have never really had problems with the car getting that hot at the track, but I will be very interested to see the difference at the track next time. Anything to look after the engine :-)
